The Rancheria is currently in talks with Shasta County Assistant CEO Eric Magrini to discuss financial considerations for services such as law enforcement and fire services to the new casino. Lane Rickard, Government Relations Manager for the Redding Rancheria, shared that the Rancheria is proud to play their part in giving back to the community and that their goal is is to build a world class resort, creating jobs and bringing business to Shasta County. This reinforces the decision made last May by the board to support the plan, now with new board members. The Board of Supervisors voted to support the Rancheria's plan to relocate Win-River Resort Casino on property called the Strawberry Fields west of Interstate 5 just south of South Bonnyview Road.
